The children of the Berwick Youth Choir are well supported by the dedicated teaching staff, tutors, an active parent body and other volunteers from our local community.

We are very fortunate to have parents and volunteers involved who bring their expertise and time to support our young choristers, whether it’s to help at a concert, paint choir risers, serve tea and coffee or help to organise a tour. And who could forget Enid, our valued music librarian?

Our choir community is an inclusive one, where all children and their families are welcome, and a love of music and singing unites us all.

We in turn are part of a larger community, where we are able to support local organisations and institutions, such as singing at a nursing home, or being part of a citizenship ceremony.  Our local council,  the City of Casey, also supports us, through grants and invitations to sing at events such as the Mayoral Concert.

So being part of a community brings reciprocal benefits and responsibilities, which BYC embraces
